International luxury travel network recognizes Crystal’s culinary excellence during 2017 Virtuoso Travel Week

MIAMI, August 28, 2017 – The diverse, globally-inspired culinary experience offered aboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity has earned the top honors from the savvy travel professionals of Virtuoso, who voted Crystal Cruises as the “Best Culinary Experience” in the cruise category during the organization’s annual Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas. The ships famously comprise The World’s Most Awarded Luxury Cruise Line, Crystal Cruises, and have long offered innovative cuisine and dining concepts on their worldwide luxury voyages, including master chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s only sea-going restaurants, “global street food” served al fresco, and elaborate multi-course winemaker’s Vintage Room Dinners.

“Cuisine is such an integral part of the travel experience, and we’ve always strived to offer our guests an array of choices that reflect the destinations visited on Crystal itineraries, as well as the incredible talents of our culinary team,” says Crystal CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez. “To earn such recognition from our valued Virtuoso partners makes us very proud, as they represent the world’s most discerning travelers.”

The Virtuoso Travel Award is an esteemed honor, with accolades given to only a small fraction of the network’s 1,700 partners across several categories.

“Crystal demonstrates a superior commitment to product excellence, expert knowledge and outstanding client service, all qualities highly valued by this network,” said Albert Herrera, senior vice president, Global Product Partnerships for Virtuoso. “This award places Crystal in a very exclusive category, as Virtuoso’s most celebrated partners are recognized as leaders within the industry. Their contributions and close relationships with our advisors enable Virtuoso to maintain its status as the world’s most exceptional luxury and experiential travel network.”

Crystal Cruises’ culinary landscape continually evolves to reflect the global flavors of the voyages and the company’s commitment to offering guests abundant choices on board. During dry dock redesigns this fall and next, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity will respectively undergo extensive dry dock redesigns that will include their onboard dining experiences. New eateries, refreshed décor and menus in long beloved venues, open-seating options and world-class, Michelin-inspired specialties will debut aboard the ships, including brand new concepts from Nobu Matsuhisa and different international focus.

By sea, river, land and air, Crystal has redefined the way the world views luxury travel. Celebrating 27 years of excellence, Crystal Cruises is the World’s Most Awarded Luxury Cruise Line, having earned “World’s Best Cruise Ship” in Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader Choice Awards for 23 years; been voted “World’s Best Large Ship Cruise Line” by Travel + Leisure readers for 20 years; and the “Best Luxury Cruise Line” by travel professional organization Virtuoso for three consecutive years (2014, 2015 & 2016). The readers of Travel + Leisure also voted Crystal River Cruises the “World’s Best River Cruise Line” and Crystal Yacht Expedition Cruises the “World’s Best Small-Ship Cruise Line” in 2017.
