United States of America requires all none US citizens crew to obtain a C1/D visa for travelling to the US. Therefore Crystal Cruises requires that all non US crew must obtain a C1/D prior to joining one of our Ocean Liners.
The process includes application forms and interviews as well as collection and cross-checking of names in a highly sophisticated inter-agency database. A visa application may take several weeks.
For obtaining this visa, kindly access https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/other-visa-categories/crewmember-visa.html and follow the instructions carefully.
In addition to the above, Crystal Cruises Manning will send you a Letter of Employment to bring to your interview with the US Embassy in order to support the application.
Kindly check that your name is correctly spelled on the Letter of Employment submitted. If there are any discrepancies, notify us at your earliest convenience.
When a candidate has agreed to join Crystal Cruises, he/she will be required to take a Pre-Employment Medical Exam. Crystal Cruises Manning will forward all necessary documents together with complete instructions.
Once approved by our Medical Advisors, he/she will receive permission to travel to the assigned ship.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING INFLUENZA:
